Contemporary dance can express what words cannot. It can make us pause, surprise us, make us laugh, move us and captivate us. Every performance is a unique encounter between artists and audiences that can never be repeated.
Bratislava in Movement has been bringing these encounters to Slovakia for 30 years. Since its foundation, the festival has presented more than 260 companies and artists from over 30 countries.
We are preparing this anniversary edition without financial support from the Slovak Arts Council. To deliver the programme we have planned, we also need the help of people who believe in the importance of live art and contemporary dance.
From 14 to 26 October 2026, we will bring works from France, Spain, Lithuania and Slovakia to Bratislava. We want the lights to come on again this year, the dancers to step onto the stage and audiences to experience the power of movement.
Every donation helps us cover artists’ fees, technical production, venue costs, travel and accommodation.
